I've been a long time boxing fan, but watching the preliminary boxing matches on the olympics last night reminded me why that sport is falling down. I wonder how long it will be before we see MMA working its way into an olympic sport. It sounds somewhat ahead of itself but its not hard to believe that in 40 years MMA could be in the Olympics. Judo and Tae Kwon Do are already olympic combat sports alongside boxing. So its not hard to imagine an MMA event years down the road. I'm sure the competitors will wear head and feet gear as well, but it would still be an exciting show.
Maybe, maybe not?

Amatuer Boxing sucks sometimes because they rely heavily on punchstat numbers that can be inaccurate alot of times.
I dont know about MMA but I dont see why sport BJJ or submission wrestling havent made it to the olympics yet.
