The brackets are up!: www.ibjjf.org

I got Jared Nathatnson (Checkmat BJJ) the first round. If I win that I get a rematch with a fresh Romulo Barral since he has a bye the first rd. Barral choked me out at the Mundials pretty quick like. Im just focused on Nathatnson right now. I dont anything about him.

Shawn Kelcher has a Nova Uniao guy the first round. He only has 4 guys in his division so he has a good chance at bringing home a No-Gi World Championship!!!

Shawn "Crippler" Kelcher lost in the first round of his division 2-0. He looked great and fought hard. There were only 4 guys in his division so he was awarded 3rd place! Shawn also went at it in the open division. He drew a monster of a man that easily outweighed him 20lbs. Shawn was better than the guy and was ahead on points the entire match and almost finished him with a triangle. Then about 4 minutes in he caught a knee that busted his nose. That plus fatigued allowed the guy to take Shawns back and finished it with a rear naked choke.

I was feeling good in my first match against a black belt from checkmat. The guy pulled half-guard and got a sweep on me. Then I swept him back making the score even 2-2. I felt in absolutely no danger then the guy put a toe hold on me out of nowhere! I did not resist to it all and it popped very loud. Ive never had anything pop like that. The guy was a real nice guy and let go immediately. I put some ice on it and I am lipping a little bit today. It feels ALOT better than what it did Sunday. I will rest it this week and I am pretty confident I will be back training next week.
